Form smart values failing to return anything

We're trying to use smart values from a submitted form in a manually triggered automation, but keep getting nothing returned.

The last try is along these lines:

1. Write {{issue.forms}} to the audit log to get the form UUID 
2. Use {{issue.forms.cc7e7327-fbbd-424c-989e-3c1234568d5.last.Question1}} to get the value from a field called, you guessed it, Question1, having inserted the UUID found in step 1.

Like I say, it always returns no value. What potentially super simple thing are we missing?

Just for info, the use case is that our internal customers will submit a request for things like a new distribution list or Team, which gets validated by an agent to ensure it all fits our conventions, before the agent triggers the automation to call Power Automate via API, passing the form values.

Did you set a field key for this field in the form. See section "Access smart values without using the Forms submitted trigger" in the documentation

You know I said "What potentially super simple thing are we missing"?  Well that was it! It's difficult to think how I missed that, but we're all good now.
