It sounds like the setup is mostly correct, but the issue might be with how the email is reaching Jira. Make sure the email is actually being received by the system and that the email address is correctly configured in your project settings. Also, check if the sender has the right permissions to create a request. Sometimes a simple test from a different email address can help identify where it’s getting stuck.

You need to first Manage permissions for sending email requests and adding other participants by email in Customer permissions. i.e. keep Channel access to Open
