Get Workflow name/details for a project without admin creds

I need the workflow name given I have the project key / issue type.

I tried /rest/api/2/project/{projectIdOrKey}/workflowscheme but it requires admin creds to return the workflow.

Can someone suggest a way? 

P.S. - Need to use v2 as users have not migrated to v3 yet.
