Google Migration and Atlassia SSO

Hey, 

Just looking for some actual proof it works. So I'll explain as briefly as I can. 

My company is part of a much bigger business, we are under the parent Google Workspace, which has SSO integrated into Atlassian so lets call the domain active in Google and Atlassian right now as below:

• @parentcompany.com
• @childcompany.com

Later this year, we will be moving to our own instance of Google Workspace and we will be taking our domain @childcompany.com but we will still be using our parent companies Atlassian. If we add an additional SSO into Atlassian, will all the account remain the same? Just am thinking if users will have to start from scratch or can Atlassian pick up that @childcompany.com is logging in so I'll put them back in the correct account they had beforehand? 

In my head this works, but am struggling to find someone who has done this.
