Granted Permissions to view Assets

Hey all, can anyone tell me how to grant permission to view Jira Assets is JSM to other users in my organization? I can't actually seem to be able to find where Jira Asset permissions are controlled at all! I've looked all over in the configuration screen on the Assets tab and there doesn't seem to be anything permission related anywhere.

Hi @Bim Lloyd 

The permissions are set per object schema, so go to the schema you want to provide access to (services, hardware, people, etc) then go to schema configuration > roles > then add users or groups to different schema roles to provide access.

List of each role and what permissions it provides 

Atlassian's instructions on how to add users:

1. From your service project, go to Assets, then Object schemas.

2. Select Schema configuration.

3. Select the Roles tab.

4. Select the field under Users or Groups for the relevant role and start typing to add new users or groups. This will add users or groups to the object schema you are currently configuring.

5. Hit the Enter key.
