Help with a custom asset object field

I have custom asset object field if dont have data in this object, can I type data to this custom field?

Let me know if I understand your question correctly.

So, you have an Asset Object custom field, assuming the the value/options are:

• Option 1
• Option 2
• Option 3

When a user fill up the form, the user is looking for Option 4 which is not on the list. You are asking that if it is possible for user to type Option 4 and raise a ticket. Optionally, the Option 4 will be added the asset object.

I believe the above requirement is not possible at the moment. In Jira form, the 'Other' option is only available for Checkbox, Dropdown, and Multiselect Dropdown only.
