We are currently facing a challenge where an individual is altering organization names within Jira. This is adversely affecting our SLAs, automations, and dashboards. Is there a method to identify the person responsible for these changes? I have already checked the Audit logs but couldn't locate any relevant information.
I think this is not something that is tracked in Jira in any way. Any of your agents could have made the change. :/
Best, Max
Hi @Kamran Ahmed ,
If the audit logs in jira arent providing the necessary information to identify the individual responsible for altering organization names,
There are steps you can follow:
Access Controls and Permission Review : Review the permission settings within jira to ensure that only autorized individuals have the bility to modify organization name.
User Interviews : Conduct interviews with the user who have access to modify organization names. Ask them if they have made any changes regarding this in recent times or hwetherb any of the person have any idea regarding the others who have posted anything.
Monitor Activity In Real_time : If possible let the Real_Time monitoring tools or Scripts that trrack changes made to organization names as they Occur. This could be invloved in the Third-Party Applications.

Hi @Kamran Ahmed ,
Changing the organization name itself should have no user-facing effects. The only place it should be visible is to you within admin.atlassian.com. That also means that changing the organization name won't trigger a change in your instance name.
