Hello everyone,
I am looking for a custom report where I could add columns and then export to an excel. The columns I am looking for are created date and time, resolution date and time, and I am not sure if could be added the all the comments with a timestamp.
I would appreciate some help here.
Thank you in advance.
Hi @Alejandro Amo Vidal and welcome to the community!
In order to get the comments, you have to export all fields from the Advanced Issue Search. Although you can add the columns you want, comment can't be added as a column.
Thanks a lot @Alex Koxaras -Relational- I was struggling a bit to find this option.

Hola Alejandro,
You have to run the jql query and then select the columns you need.
After you have the columns selected use the export function with the current fields.

Welcome to the community. For the column that you are looking for they are named as using the out of the box setup -
Created - for created date/time
Resolved - for resolution datae/time (this field represents the resolution field is populated - therefore issue is resolved)
Comments field cannot added as a column as mentioned by @Alex Koxaras -Relational- . Note - Even if you exported all fields, "Comments" field will not be exported in your exported file.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for you pointing that all for me again. In our env, we uses HTML format only for better exported results file (formattting better).
Typically, based on my experiences, we don't recommend exporting the Comments field.
Again, Thanks for your pointer.
Best, Joseph

Indeed on HTML comments are not exported. I don't like that these two exports yield different results. However, thank you as well for letting me know that in HTML, comments are not exported.

Another option you can try is Better Excel Exporter Cloud, which supports comments (internal/external or both) in native XLSX files (instead of CSV or HTML). You can export any column (Jira Service Management or other fields) from the Issue Navigator and it also comes with templates for different JSM reports, like:
The cloud version of Better Excel Exporter has just been announced. While we wait for the Marketplace listing to come online, the installation instructions can be found on our Slack or I can send it over. Drop me a line if you want to try the app: levente.szabo@midori-global.com
(Please note that Better Excel Exporter is currently free but will be a paid app once the Marketplace listing is in place and I'm part of the team developing the app.)

You can try out our add-on Advanced Portal Reports that allows you to add a variety of columns (including created and resolution dates) that also supports export to Excel. However, we currently don't support comments in the report but it is something we've been thinking about adding in the future.
We will be happy to answer all your questions and help you do a trial if you're interested. You can always open a ticket in our customer support portal and we can discuss there.
Greetings,
Georgi
