We are excited to be launching a Help Center to our university community soon, but have run into an issue where it's not meeting some minimum requirements for accessibility.
These accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.0) are important for all sites, but they are of particular importance to us as a public institution.
So far, we haven't found any options for adjusting the CSS of any part of the Help Center portal, other than the banner background and banner text color.
I've added an image that shows the results of our check for sufficient contrast on the text elements that Atlassian controls -- the contrast is 4.36:1 and 3.06:1.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi Sharon,
I'm not from the Jira Service Desk team, but I will try to help.
It turns out that there is a new version of the Help Center in Cloud: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/blog/2018/06/coming-soon-meet-the-new-help-center
Can you please confirm if you are using the new Help Center or not?
This new Help Center should meet your needs but if it doesn't please reply.
I hope that helps!
Hi Martyn,
Thanks for your question, I should have specified: yes we are using the new version of Help Center.
