How to create a dynamic fields in request form in Jira service desk?

HI All,

 

I have a request type "A" where it contains more than 20 fields. I need to categorize them into sections like "section I", "section II", etc... Then if i select "section I" it has to populate a few fields related to that section category, like viz the rest.

I need to implement this in jira service desk without using any add-ons, scripts are ok.

Could you guys please help me for this.

Thank you for reaching out to Community!

We understand that dynamic fields are a great option when there is a form with many fields and also to help the customers to fill the form in the customer portal, but for now, this option is not available in Jira. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

Related to a workaround, I’m afraid it will be possible only using an add-on as mentioned on the feature. I see that you don’t want to use add-ons, but I didn’t find any option with scripts.
