Hello!
Right now we use a service provider to manage invoices from our vendors. We ask our vendors to email invoices into us at ap@ and a human manages that inbox, forwarding emails with invoices out to invoices@ and answering questions in all the other emails.
We'd like to retain the simplicity of 1 entry point email address... but automate the forwarding of invoices. I can detect an incoming email with a PDF attachment via Jira's automation... but then I get stuck. According to many other posts here, it appears you can't send an email with an attachment out of Jira.
Does anyone know of a way to proceed? Maybe there's a marketplace plugin that will do the trick here?
Hello @Andrew Boeger,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
When it comes to sending emails using automation, currently, it’s not supported to add attachments.
There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
The workaround, for now, is to add the attachment link but it will require them to log in to view the attachment in Jira.
Kind regards,
Angélica
