I too have this box on my dashboard and that whole column occupies far too much space that can be better used for useful content. I believe I have gone through every settings option, and I cannot remove or better utilize that space.
I'll continue to research it and hopefully together we can come up with a solution.
I actually haven't seen that before, is that on the teams page? I wonder if you click through the "Let's start" if it will go away after going through the prompts. In terms of system settings though I don't think we have any control over these things unfortunately.

Sadly, no... it was the first thing I tried.
It appears in the Jira "your work" page, maybe in others.
It's on the first page I see when I open my Jira Dashboard.

I run a script which automatically deletes the HTML for the entire banner. Shouldn't have to do that though.

Hi David,
Thanks for your question on the community.
I've checked this with our product team, and it seems that the banner is designed to appear for users when operations are not yet configured on JSM sites. The goal is to encourage our customers to fully utilise JSM capabilities.
I understand that this might be inconvenient for you, and I empathise with your situation. To address this, we have a feature request to product management to consider adding an option to disable the banner. I've linked this post to the suggestion below, and I encourage you to share your comments to help the team understand why this feature is important to you:
I apologise if this isn't the outcome you were hoping for, and I regret any limitations this may cause.
Regards,
Anusha A
