We are setting up Jira Service Management.  We need to do a bulk import of all of our customers.  It would be preferrable if we could hook it up to Azure or AD so that customers will be maintained automatically.

Hi @Sandy Yanos ,

The best, and standard, way is to create a group in Entra ID (or Azure ID) and with Atlassian Guard activate the user provisioning to that group.

Then, in the JSM project, assign the group to customer role.

This allows an automatic update of the customer list, directly from AD.

In addition, you can create organisations, like explained here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/blog/2016/09/group-customers-in-organizations .

Without Atlassian Guard, you could play with Rest API and creating a script, outside Jira, that sync the users from AD to Jira, using organization APIs; or the project customers API, but this is more tricky.

I hope it helps.

Kind regards
