How to present object with parental link in insight automation

I'm using insight automation to generate issue with sertain objects.
When creating the issue we use a customfeild to list objects with child status.
But when i try to list the linked objects in the agent issueview using filter issuescope only the parent object is showing up. Any ideas what i've done wrong?
