How to quickly edit text/memo in Dashboard?

Hello all,

I have a JSM Dashboard that has the Rich Text gadget where I keep my random notes.

To edit the text in my notes, I have to

1. Click on edit this dashboard

2. Then config the gadget, which opens up a new tab.

3. Edit my notes

4. Save the text in the gadget.

5. Click done to save the Dashboard.

as you can see this is a very long process to just edit my notes, not to mention opening in new tab prevents me from seeing the rest of the Dashboard.

Just wondering if there is a better way to edit and keep my notes on my Dashboard?

Unfortunate not, this is how a dashboard works in Jira.

Gadgets can be edit only if the dashboard is in edit mode, otherwise user cold be allowed to change gadget information if this was not the case,
