How to share the JSD reports to another JIRA user (Not a Service Desk user)

Ranjit Kumar December 20, 2019

Hi Team,

I am not able to share the JIRA service desk reports to my stakeholders (who are not service desk user but they are JIRA users for Agile projects).

For that I've create a Shared dashboard and successfully added various JSD reports like: SLA vs Breached, created vs resolved etc. But the issue is only JSD users are able to see the reports NOT any other JIRA users. They can only able to see the "Filter Count" gadget reports.

Please help me out.

Cheers!

Hi @Ranjit Kumar
Another option you can try - is to use an application SLA Time and Report. It allows view issues and SLA time from Jira Service Desk (but can't configure it) and this data is available for export as XLSX or CSV doc. So you can share these exported files with your colleges.

have you given the JSW user Browse permissions for the JSD project?

Thanks Jack for your quick response, but I'm afraid couldn't find how to provide Browser permission for JSD project? Would be great if you could help me with the steps

You need a group or role defined first that includes the users you want to allow Browse access. For example:

  1. Jira settings > user management > groups
  2. add group
  3. add members

then you need to provide that group the necessary permission

  1. project > project settings > permissions
  2. edit the Browse permission and add the geoup
  3. also consider adding to Comments
