I have used Location field (drop down) in one project and created some tickets. Now I want the location field as open text field. If I add new location field to screens and remove older field then will it affect the older tickets?

Hi @shivani_shirguppi 
Yes, removing the old location field from the screen will affect the old tickets (i.e. you wont be able to see the field and its associated value) in the View screen.
