I want to create a user in Jira and need to provide the User name and passowrd to that user

Hi,

How to create a user in Jira and need to provide the User name and password to that user so that he will login as a End user.

and once user will login with user name and password then the user will able to login to the portal only not for the entire Jira.

How to do the same.

Hi @Sreenadh , when you invite a customer to one of your service projects, the invite will be sent to the e-mail address specified. However, you wil not be able to select the password for that user. The user name will be the e-mail address by default as that is the user name in Cloud.

A portal-only customer will be able to access the customer portal but will not have access to the Jira platform itself. The user will not take a license seat either.

A User/Agent is considered someone with a license and access to Jira.

But here my main concern is i want to give the access to Only portal not entire Jira instance.

also it is requesting for the password.

@Sreenadh These screenshots are an invitation for a User to one of your products.

1. Go to your service project (a JSM project)
2. Under Channels & People, go to Customers
3. From the Customers page, click on the Add customers button and fill out the customer email
