I have a workflow and on each status, the different teams are working on it. if the issue status is Waiting for Support on which the 24x7 Helpdesk is working, where it can transition into two statuses 1) In Review on which the Support Team is working 2) In Development on which Development Team is working, then it transitions to In Development and skipped In Review Status, What I want When any activity is made on the issue, I want to send an email to the teams(groups) who are currently working on it like Development Team and the Team who previously worked on it like the 24x7 Helpdesk team. I don't want to send an email to the Support Team because they haven't worked on it.

Hi @Muhammad Moazzam Hassan and welcome to the community,

What you should do is:

  • Create a development group with all the people involved
  • Create a single group custom field and place it on the appropriate screens of your JSM project
  • Add this group to get notifications when issue is updated (or whenever else you want to get notifications for)
  • When the issue transitions to the "In Development" status, add an automation to fill-in the single group custom field
  • As long as this field is populated with a group, then this group will get notifications
  • You can add an automation to clear this field (or add another group) when the issue transitions away from the In Development status.
