Imported attachments not visible on Customer Portal

We have successfully executed an import with thousands of attachments brought into to the JIRA SD site. Unfortunately, by default these attachments are not shared with the customer. How can we either update the current tickets to make the attachments visible to the customer or import the attachments in a manner that makes these attachments visible. 

We used a csv file and links to bring the attachments in along with the ticket and all associated details.

Hi Glemser,

For an attachment to appear on the customer portal it must be added as a comment.
Can you please check if the attachments were added on the comment box or if it's showing as a text?
If you add a new attachment in order to test, does it appear correctly?

We are working with the Jira IT support team to rework our csv files. You are right, we will have to include every attachment name as a comment with the syntax: 

!download.jpeg|thumbnail! 

where "download.jpeg" is the file name of the attachment we want to bring in. 

It's a lot of effort to set all of it up, but I'm glad the functionality exists. Thanks for getting back to us!
