Hi @Sreenadh

There is no easy way to do that and there are two ways to do that:

  • You simply recreate every change you made on dev to prod by hand. So you go on every scheme (issue, screen, issue type, workflow, notification, issue security, permission etc) and perform any change you have made to the development.
  • You share the same config (schemes) that you currently have to development with the production one. This means that eventually you have then to change again the development configuration to a copy of the latest one, in order to be able to develop new changes to dev and not to be passed on production immediately.

Hope the above make sense!

Hi @Alex Koxaras -Relational-

Thanks for your response.!

Is there any possibility to take the back up of the Instance which is Jira Service Management from Back up Manager.

Can we import into new Instance?

Is it possible ?

Kindly help me on the same.

Thanks,

@Sreenadh you can take a backup of your instance. But what you want to do is to take only backup of the configuration? If yes, then this can't be done on cloud out of the box.

As said, manual is the only option you have out of the box.

There are however a couple of apps that allow you to push data from one environment to another.

For example: Configuration Manager (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211611/configuration-manager-for-jira-cmj?hosting=cloud&tab=overview)

Hi @Dirk Ronsmans

Thanks for the response.!

I don't want any kind of date but i want to move the configuration changes only from Dev to Prod Instance.

which is like scheme (issue, screen, issue type, workflow, notification, issue security, permission etc)

Please help me out on the same.

Thanks

Yup, that is what this (and apps like it do).

You can push your configuration data (so not the issues itself over to another instance). you initially compare the instances and then you can push what you need.

@Sreenadh -

I also agreed with what @Alex Koxaras -Relational- stated.  In our env, we always proceed with his first suggestion of recreating the project in the Production env.
