Insight - Site locations

we are setting up head offices and our offsite sites in Insight to link back to out equipment etc.

Has anyone set up locations in Insight, would love to see some example's?

Hi @Danielle David ,

Can't really give you real world examples as each company like to structure their CMDB a bit different.

However, in my experience a Location could/should just be another object type with possibly its own attributes.

You can go a simple as just a single Location or you could branch out in to Building/Site/Location/Country/.... 

So just an other object type like any other asset and link to them using object references.

Is there any specific thing with a structure you are struggling with?

@Dirk Ronsmans is correct, "it depends".

The last time I set up a location, it had the following attributes:

Building (Insight Object reference)

Floor (select list)

Location Type (Insight Object reference)

Location Number (text)
