is it possible to direct something at a specific customer (Portal only) via @username to trigger an e-mail to this specific customer? If so, what configurations must be done?
The user has been added as a customer in a specific project and can only access the Portal.

Unfortunately not with the @mention mechanism, that is being worked on tho!

However, since the user is a customer and has access to the portal you should be able to just contact them by adding a "reply to customer" comment in your issue and it will be triggering an email thru the "Customer Notifications" on the project.
That will of course then go to all the customers the issue is shared with (request participants)
