Is it possible to hide a customer request type in the portal?

Rafael Menezes July 1, 2022

Good Morning !

I would like to know if it is possible to hide a request type from the client in the JIRA portal so that it only sees that type of request that I determine when creating the request type?

Thank you !

Yes you can hide Request types. Project settings > Request types, click on the ellipses and Edit groups. Uncheck all groups.

If you need to control the visibility of a request type (i.e. only certain users can see the request type and others cannot within the same project via the portal UI), then you will need to look for a third party add-on in the marketplace to give you that functionality.  Otherwise, you will need to create a separate JSM project and control access to the project - essentially if one is not part of the authorized users, then they will not even see the project listed in the portal UI.
