We have form we are making that will have a conditional section that will appear on the condition a specific radio button option is selected.

The user could potentially need to fill out the conditional section multiple times, e.g. if they are looking at requesting 4 of the ticket items they would need to fill it out 4 times.

If we included a number field asking how many of the item the user needs, is there a way to have the conditional section duplicate based on the number field or is the only way to have the user create 4 instances of the form?

Hi @Sam Gilchrist

Unfortunately, there is no possibility to duplicate the JSM Forms section.
A possible workaround could be to add several identical sections and display the next one based on the input from the previous one. For example, if the customer selected in the previous section that they need more tickets

For this use case, I reccomend checking out the Extension for JSM app which offers feature called Bundled Fields. Bundled Fields allows you to display sections multiple times

You can also decide how many sections will be visible by default and how many sections your customers can add

Of course, the whole Bunded Field can be show dynamically based on input in your radio button field thanks to Dynamic Forms feature also provided by this plugin.

I hope these tips will be helpful :)

Kind Regards,

Hello @Sam Gilchrist ,

Good Day, welcome to Atlassian Community!!

As i understood, You have a field with multiple Items to select and based on the items selected, use have to fill multiple Conditional sections, You want to remove that effort for end users and rather Duplicate the conditional field that is filled once to all the other work items?

Please correct me, If i am wrong.

If you have predefined values on each item based on number selected, or if value of one item is to duplicated each item new item is selected. In both these cases you can use Automation for Jira.

In fist case remove Conditional section and have only number field and now based on what number is selected let Automation for Jira fill for other numbers.

If you want to duplicate values of one selected item to another, then have user fill conditional section once, if it is the same think why will you need to have it filled multiple times?
