Yess, Jira can be used in the education sector, it can be adapted to meet the specific needs of educational institutions, teachers, students and managers.

Jira can be customized with workflows, dashboards and filters to meet each specific need. Furthermore, integrations with other tools such as Trello, Confluence and Slack can expand its functionality, making it even more useful in the educational environment.

Thanks for answering the question. I hope there would also be an opportunity to customize forms i.e., I am exploring it I can use Jira for student admissions Management for an educational organization.

Yes I use it for homeschooling my kids. The older child knows how to mark a task complete. The younger children, I mark it for them.

Pretty much can use Jira for many industries including education. Jira is design flexible to adapt to different ways of working. I would suggest to create a free cloud instance to give it  a go.
