Is there a way to Show / Hide fields based on other Field drop down values on Customer Portal

It's possible to make this behaviour using Forms in Jira Service Management. You can build a forms and apply manipulate fields to show or to hide by conditionals. After finished, just associate this form for a Request Type and the magic it's done!

In addition to what @Fernando Eugênio da Silva suggested, you can only look into other third party add-ons to provide you with that capability.
