Is there any way to check if you are on a blocked or suppression list on JIRA?

Martin Quezada October 18, 2024

I am unable to send or receive emails to our Jira service management mail handler, and I have also submitted two support requests to Atlassian this past week with no one reaching back. I already contacted Microsoft support in case the issue had to do with outlook, but they insist it is a JIRA issue.

Thanks

Hi Martin,

Atlassian Support will be the only way to know if you are on the suppression list. My experience is that support is pretty quick to respond. What level did you put on the support ticket? And you submitted two tickets with no response? Can you share the ticket ids and the dates you created those?

Hi @Martin Quezada,

From my experience, it's usually something on the Atlassian side - most likely an email is on a suppression list. I've just checked our raised support tickets and there's a quite a few of those related to suppressed email addresses. When it comes to mail handlers, I don't think there's a way to see logs for that (someone else can maybe confirm that).

On the other hand, if you're using email addresses from service projects for email requests, you could navigate to Settings > Products > Email requests and view logs for each email address.

Regarding support, have you tried using chat within the support center or just by raising tickets? Depending on the severity/impact, sometimes it might take a day or 2 for someone to reply on a ticket.

Anyway, hope you'll resolve this quickly.

Cheers,
Tom
