Is there any custom code that can be added where the widget is embedded to allow users to expand the display of the widget so they can read KB articles and view tables?

When it comes to Widget configuration, currently, it's not possible to change its size.
There is a feature request suggesting the ability to see the articles in the portal instead of the widget:
