I am setting up JIRA Service Desk, I will me using a custome email which users will send emails to that will automatically create tickets in JIRA.
The email account needs to be secure as sensitive information will be sent to this email address.
What security measures are in place from Atlassin to ensure that the email account once configured on JIRA is secure and that no-one can access it?
Email security falls outside of Jira. For example we use Exchange so all security associated with that email must be handled within Exchange. Your IT group would need to address this. However, what the Jira admin then must do is to manage permissions on the access of the issues to ensure only those approved can access the issues given the sensitive info.
