JMWE or 'Create on Transition for Jira’ app

Hi,

I’m looking to implement a post-function - Create issue(s) (JMWE add-on) - into our workflow, having researched a couple of options I’m hoping someone has been through this process before. We have limited technical expertise to implement the below requirements so I’m edging towards option 2 but would value any feedback first.

Also, I found this post but we are using Jira Service Desk on Cloud service - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Script-runner-creating-sub-tasks-based-on-checkbox-field/qaq-p/296956.

Requirements:

• Sub-task ticket to be raised if selecting ‘Other’ from one or more multi-select classification fields.
• Sub-task ticket raised following immediate resolution of a Major Incident to begin recording root cause analysis findings.

Since you're using Jira Cloud, you actually won't be able to use Option #2.  That particular plugin does not have a Cloud version offered by the vendor.  That plugin is only available for Jira Server or Jira Data Center deployments.

But there are other options you can use for this kind of functionality.   For example, searching through Marketplace and limiting your results to Cloud, you can find these results.

Among those are plugins such as Add Issue on Transition for Jira Cloud

I haven't used this particular plugin, but it appears to offer you the ability to create new issues based on a transition.

I went with Sub Task Manager for Jira Cloud and all seems to be going well so far - thanks for responding!
