JQL in an email

Zaid Al-Tamimi November 12, 2024

Hi guys

I have a web site with a form that sends an email to jira email channel.

It hase some generic fields like Name, surname, email address, phone number etc.

One of the fields in that form is an email address and I wanted to ask you if there is a possibility to somehow take that email that comes to Jira and ends up in the description field to make it arrive in for example Request Participant field. I thought it could maybe done by inserting some JQL in to the email that sends web form results-

Or maybe it could register that email as customer.

Thanks for your ideas.

Hi @Zaid Al-Tamimi

How does the description of an issue look like after the issues has been created in Jira?

This is valuable information for community members to see if with an automation rule this could be achieved.
