Jira Service Desk Add-On for Containers

Eddie Newman January 23, 2024

We are running Jira in a container from dockerhub. I do not have Jira Service Desk, how do I get this add-on? The only thing I see on Atlassians site is the full install for a server. Also, this server has no connection to the internet, so I can't just download it from the GUI. I need to obtain the add-on / plugin somehow, so I can add it either to the backend in the plugins folder or through the UI with the jar file.

I also do not see the ability to "try for free" on the applications page.notryfree.PNG

Hi @Eddie Newman

welcome to the community and thank you for your question.

In terms of Docker containers I'm not the right one to help you out, but I know how to get an install file for you:

Visting the following link you are able to download any version of JSM since release. Make sure to select the version matching your regular Jira version.
These are listed as Server, but they are linked in this documentation, so I guess they should work. I would advise to test this before using on production.

ok, yeah I can get the install files, but then Id have to create a custom container which is not an option for me. I know it can be installed a different way as I have had it on containers in the past just strait from docker hub. thank you though for the suggestion.

ohhh I take that back, thank you very much for the links, the obr is what I need. I appreciate it!
