Jira Service Management Cloud report on Change Types

Good day,

I need to create a report on the different types of Changes, Standard, Normal etc but can't see how this is done, I have googled that you can navigate to the project reports and select "Change Status Report" but this option is not there, and if I try creating a new one there is no option to report on the change types available?

Is there a way of doing this? below are my only options.

Thanks

Hi @Julian Haines , have you looked at the "all changes by type" report? Note that this report only applies to ITSM project as far as I am aware.

Hi,

Thanks, My manager wants a report on the types of changes in the list below, the type of standard changes will increase and he just wants to run a report to see when new ones are added without asking me.

Hi @Julian Haines , I have not used this specific report but, similar to other reports you need to edit it and add each desired series. You might look at using a dashboard to see if you can use change type as a statistic for gadgets like pie chart.

Hi @Julian Haines,

You could try using a Jira dashboard instead a Jira report. Jira offers some default gadgets that could work for you: Issue Statistics gadget, Pie Chart gadget, Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget, Filter Results gadget, etc.

If the native Jira gadgets are not enough, you could add additional gadgets by searching and installing apps from Atlassian Marketplace.

For example, our Great Gadgets app, offers some gadgets that will address your needs. For example, with the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget you can count or display your change in many different ways and to display them as charts in various types.

With the Cumulative Flow Diagram gadget you can see how many changes you had in every category along the time.

Hi, @Julian Haines

I am unsure you can get this information out of the box in JSM. Also, the available reports are graphically limited and do not offer a good customization level. If you want to send this information to your manager, you may need to look for a marketplace app that offers something more advanced. If you are open to that, I recommend Mindpro Graphy. I work at Mindpro, and I think this app can help you with your use case.

You can easily create dashboards that can be shared with internal users or external customers via the customer portal. There are over 50+ gadgets you can choose from to create your dashboards.

Beyond pre-loaded gadgets, you can also create your own, using the custom charts available. Using your example, I created a dashboard with some gadgets showing requests per type:

If you prefer, all gadgets are also available in Jira standard dashboards.

I hope that helps.

Regards,

Eduardo
