Hello there,
Jira Software and Jira Servicedesk installed on separate servers.
How can I authorize Jira Software users to view Jira Servicedesk Tickets?
Is it possible for you to explain step by step what I need to do?
I know that the Jira Servicedesk application works fine when I install it on JiraSoftware, my goal is to run it on separate servers.
I want the technical work done in JiraSoftware not to affect customers.
Respects
@Ali Aydın , as they are installed in 2 different servers, the service desk installation do not know anything about the jira software licensed users.
You can add them as customers in the jira service desk instance or buy additional license of core/software for JSD instance and authorize them as collaborators (if that is what you are trying to achieve)
I have to ask a question in the wrong order
You say
>> my goal is to run it on separate servers.
Why? What are the benefits to you of this?
I ask because there's no reason you've given that explains it:
>> I want the technical work done in JiraSoftware not to affect customers.
It won't affect them unless you chose to make that happen. Customers only see portals and Requests, from Service Desk projects. They don't see Software projects unless you make the projects anonymous, or the customers into Jira users

If you have a single server, grant browse permission to your Software users
In separate servers, you're going to need to duplicate the Software users accounts over into service desk and then grant them browse permission

Hi Nick,
Can I use Jira software licenses that I currently use on separate servers for the Application link? Or do I need to buy a new license?
Regards

You will need to licence each service separately. Let's keep it simple and imagine you have 100 Software users, plus 3 Service Desk Agents.
If you have one service, you will need to licence it for
If you have them separated, you will need to licence:
