Howdy!
My question: How can we change the width of the customer service portal?
There is so much space, and we want to use it. On a full HD solution you have nearly the half of the screen without usage and if you want to add a knowledge base article with 2 rows it looks hideous.
I've looked in a lot of threads for this simple question and found some .css snippets to add via a plugin but can't we just change the width from the fixed 700px to a value like 80% of the width ?
Thanks for reading and helping!
HI @Tobi
Currently, it's not possible to change the width of the customer portal.
We have some feature requests suggesting the implementation of this ability:
- Increase width of KB articles displayed within Jira
- Ability to change the customer portal width.
- As an SD Customer, I'd like the Portal view to expanding to the width of the window
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the features.
As a workaround, you can allow your customers to see the articles directly in Confluence.
You can find all the steps in the article below:
- How can I make my users and customers see Confluence pages without a license?
Hope this helps!

If you're on Cloud, there's an open feature request for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-2410

You cannot configure this. There are alternate solutions e.g. the Refined addon that allows you to have a different portal web site with much more configuration possibilities but that is a cost that might not justify the desired req.
