Link issues doesn't work with else-if block

I've been creating automations that copy JSM tickets to Jira Software (in case further development is needed).

It works fine when the JSM project correspond to exactly 1 Jira Software project, but in some cases I need an if-else block to create the new issue in the right project and then the Link issue at the bottom doesn't work.

Please see attached image. The trigger doesn't show but isn't needed to understand the problem. All else-if components look the same.

Error message: "Error linking issues

: At least one of 'id' or 'key' is required to identify an issue."bugautomation.PNG

Hi Emma,

Try moving the Link issue action under the Create issue action. Then change to link it to the Trigger issue.

I already tried this but it makes the automation too long as there are like 20 else-if options.

But did it work? And if so, that's what you will need to do. You can copy the component and move it to the right location quickly.

I see what you mean now! If I don't make it a separate action it does work! Thank you!
