I am needing to convert a customer to a user in my service desk.
I am confused about the verbage in this article:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/manage-jira-service-desk-customer-accounts-913213935.html
Before I migrate this customer, I want to make sure nothing is lost.
This customer has a bunch of issues raised, and I want them to still be able to see these issues in the customer portal when they get switched over to a user.
Is this what will happen if I push the button to migrate the customer to an Atlassian account?
Hello Nathan,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
When we migrate a customer to Atlassian account, all tickets associated with them will be also migrated to this new account.
What happens is basically that the account is duplicated and then the portal account gets deactivated, so the customer can log in using the Atlassian account.
Migrated customers will still be able to see tickets in the portal. If they don't have application access (license), when they log in on xxxxx.atlassian.net they will be redirected to the portal.
If they have any license, for Service Desk or Jira Software/Core, for example, they will be logged in Jira, so they need to go to xxxxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals.
Regards,
Angélica
