Did you mean:

Multiple groups to check only the issues assigned to each in one Project.

Kyle Song July 13, 2023

Hi I'm in charge of Jira in my company.

I have a question about JSM(Jira Service Management) function.

I wonder if there is a function that allows multiple groups to check only the issues assigned to each in one Project.

Is there a function?

Thanks.

Hi @Kyle Song ,

There are two different scenarios:

1. If the users are customers, then make use of Organization field.
Users who are part of Organization will only be able to see their tickets

2. If users are agents (users part of project team), then you need to make use of Issue security scheme so that only particular groups can view only their tickets.

Steps to configure Issue Security Scheme:

Go to admin settings --> Issues --> Issue security schemes --> Add issue security scheme

Create different security levels based on the project requirement/groups.

Now go to Project settings --> Issue security --> Actions --> Select the created scheme.

When a ticket is created, you can select the security level and only users who belong to the security level can access the tickets.
Even you can make use of Workflow post function, automation rule to auto set.

Please note: Only users who are part of Set Issue Security permission of the project can set the security level in the tickets.
