Hi, I need to notify my service desk customers in public holidays before they are creating a request. Is there any approach to manage this?
Thanks
We typically put announcements banner up as a reminder of an upcoming public holiday. I am not aware of OOB functionality where you can notify a user before they create a request.
You can also set up automated responses that you can turn on for newly created tickets on a public holiday day. This suggestion might be more work that what it's worth to maintain though.
There might be some apps that might allow for this type of automation. Here is a list of the customer support type apps that are currently recommended.
Hope this helps!

@Brittany Wispell thank you so much for the response. Could you please explain more about " announcements banner up as a reminder of an upcoming public holiday" ? Is it managed via Jira or extrnally like through an email chain?

You're welcome!
Here's a JSM support page on how to set up announcements to your help center portal.
It should be a good guide in setting it up but of course let me know if you have any specific questions that the article doesn't cover. :)
Thanks,
Brittany

yes it was very clearly explained. My requirement will be catered if we can automate these announcements for public holidays using a calendar without manually adding. Thanks again for your help. :)
