Hello Atlassians!

I am setting up a demo to present JSM at the company and would need help with one thing that I can't figure out by myself :D

Below is my end goal:

However... Currently the Affect Equipment field (on the right) can't autopopulate itself. I've narrowed it down to a manual dropdown which only shows Insight objects of the type Laptop which is assigned to the Reporter.

(Disregard the currentUser() in the picture, I typed the wrong variable... haha)

Which brings me to my question:

Is there any way I can make the field populate itself?

Let me know if I need to provide more info on anything.

Edit: Mikael's response below worked! Amazing!

Yes, you can get it done by using automation, this is what my automation looks like that sets the link asset field:

Thank you so much! Will try to set this up tonight!

And thanks for giving me the right variable, for some reason I used currentUser() and was happy with the results, because I myself was also the reporter so I didn't see any issue with what was shown... Wasn't until I tried to create a ticket in my colleague's name that I noticed that it still displayed the asset linked to me....
