Is it possible to define the default request type (public or private request) visible in the Portal per organization or is it only a global setting? Thanks
Is there a global setting? If so where? I need to make all private and I can't find it anywhere in the settings.
@Dan Vink, can you clarify what you are wanting to make private and explain why it is not private today?

on the customer portal in service desk - when filling out an issue request, it has shared with -(what ever organization) the logged in user is apart of. I would like to have it removed or switched to private as the default.

if you do not want to have the ability to have customer share w/in their organization then you simply need to remove the organization. that is all customers should not be in an organization. Having them in an org allows them to share at request with others in their org.

But @Jack Brickey is there a way to have the request default to private and force them to select "make public?" Currently it is the opposite. It defaults so "share with [organization]" and you have to select a drop down to make the request "Private" We want them to be able to share and view, but there are certain request types that need to be private (and it would be much better to have someone "forget" to mark something as public than to have them "forget" to mark something private. )

This is note possible OOTB. There may be an addon that would allow you do do this but I don't have any experience w/ one that would. Others could chime in here but in the meantime you might research the Marketplace.
