How to set up a notification email when close to the due date in Jira, when assigning a task to someone?
Hi, @Neda Ghavami
Would you like to receive only Outlook notifications? Or you need notifications in Jira issues' comments or to Slack as well?
If you'd like to get reminders about the upcoming due date via Slack or comments (and then receive Email from Jira too), you can try Jira plugins that will allow you to do this.
For example, in SLA Time and Report for Jira add-on you can set time goals, due dates and define when exactly you will get a notification to remind you that you have to comlete the task before the certain date.
You can easily set everything up via the SLA Manager and set when the reminders should be sent and who must receive the notification:
Hope it helps.
But if you need more detailed information or help with configuration, just let me know! This add-on was created by my team, so we’d like to offer you a free demo call with our team where we will show you how to set everything up in the SLA Time and Report for Jira add-on.
Have an amazing day!
Regards,
Olha
Hello @Neda Ghavami
You would need to create an automation that will verify the duedate value and compare with the current date. The condition could be, for example, a scheduled trigger to run every day.
The action would be send an email and the destination would be the email address of the assignee.

Eugenio
