Hi all,
I'm quite new to Jira Service Management and I'm using it for my IT dept to get ticket from our colleagues (internal customers).
I would like to assign details to each customers, mainly I would like to assign their department.
I mean, I would like to able to say that John Smith belongs to R&D dept, Rose Red belongs to HR dept and so on.
How can I do this? I'm managing just one project.
Thanks
This is a relatively new feature of Jira, but it's absolutely possible, and something we use heavily. Go to project settings > Features and enable "Customer and organization profiles"
Once that is enabled, you will see both Organizations and Customers in the "Directory" on the left side panel.
If you click on an organization, you will be able to add various "Details" fields by going to the 3 dots on the top right.
You can read more about it here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/manage-organization-detail-fields/
