Auto-Assign Country(Custom field) to email requests?

Is there a way to auto-assign a Country(Custom field) to email requests we get, based on their email address (de , co.uk , .com etc)

you will need a scripted customfield or a post function to set the field upon creation, so a third party plugin will be necessary.

search for "Setting field based on reporter's email", this particular example is for Power Scripts for JIRA plugin, but you should be able to achieve this with any other plugins that offers similar functionality
