Hello Atlassian Community!
At the moment I have a Jira Service Management project where tickets can be submitted by e-mail.
I would like to switch off this function and set an auto responder with the info that the request can no longer be sent by email and that the form must be used.
I know how to switch off the email function, but I can't find an option for the auto responder.
I would be very happy if someone could help me here!
Hi @Kerstin.Hares ,
If you're using external email address (your mailbox) I guess you could create automated response via mail handler you're using.
💡 When it comes to Atlassian emails, we usually do not disable email requests (when it comes to deprecating this functionality) but rather leave it running and create automation that automatically closes email requests and adds a comment to a ticket stating, for example, that this request type is no longer at use and that new requests can be submitted by a portal. Then, after some time, you can completely disable email requests.
Maybe someone else has found 'smarter' way to handle this but, so far, automation solution was good enough for us.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
