Automation Rules with "User wo triggered the Event" and external Portal Users run in Permission Erro

Hi there,

i've created an automation rule which filters out me some signatur/disclaimer stuff.

That rules works as long as the user is in the servicedesk-team Group.

If a new issue will be created by e-mail from an external (portal-user), the automation runs in the following issue: Actor does not have permission to view one or more issues, or the issue was deleted (please check permissions and issue security levels):

Is is possible to change some permissions to get rid of this?

Of course I could specify that the Actor is "automation", but in that case I will receive e-mail notifications for that change, that I dont want.

But is there a "nice" way to handle this?

Kind regards,

Constantin

Hi @Constantin Lotz

You need to check if the actor has the required permissions on the project to perform the required actions (view and edit issues). You need to check the permission scheme of the project. Since the actor seems to be a portal user, and the issue is created by email, i suspect the actor does not have the required permissions.

In this case, like you already suggested, i would set the "Automation" user as an actor.

Best regards,

Kris
