Automation upon Issue Creation not working on a cloned issue

I have an automation rule that I created to be performed certain action upon a cloned issue when the cloned issue gets created. The cloned issue gets created fine (from a separate automation rule), but the automation rule to update the cloned issue, having a trigger of On Issue Creation, never runs.

Has anyone ever experienced this and can advise me on how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

Do you have

  • Check to allow other rule actions to trigger this rule. Only enable this if you need this rule to execute in response to another rule.

checkbox switched on in your new automation in the "Rule Details" page?

Thank you Calvin.

I ended up going another route and just doing a scheduled rule (for both rules involved) since the situation in which I am using it only occurs annually. However, I will probably go ahead and try this approach instead.
