Avoid recognition of MAILTO function if call URL with Email-Address

Hi, if i try to open an URL with Email-Address e.g. 

https://inside.mycompany.com/home/ssp_am.asp?ATO=max.mad@mycompany.com

jira recognize automatically MAILTO function and open it in outlook but that's not right,

the link should be opened in browser, if i highlight the link and klick right on mouse, i can choose the option "go to" and land on the web-site as intended.

How i can avoid automatic recognition of mailto function?

To be honest, I'm really annoyed that I have to reinvent the wheel when migrating to the new JIRA system. JIRA doesn't consider it necessary to react and I can only get support from the admin, who can create a ticket in JIRA and who doesn't have time for this bug.

We face the same issue and the only workaround we found was to create an automation that replace the @ by %40 triggered every single time the field is updated.

I hope Atlassian fix that some day
