Hello everyone,
We are starting with Jira asset management and I was wondering if we can use it for room booking:
- User fills out a Jira Service Management form, picks the desired room (rooms are created as objects from Jira assets) and defines the relevant start and end date of the booking.
- Next user cannot pick the same room, if the resource is already booked for the relevant time frame.
Does anyone know if this is possible to implement?
Thanks for your help and feedback!
We've created a booking app Raley Bookman that allows making reservations for assets stored in JSM Assets platform. The reservations themselves are made as JSM requests from the portal, which should match your usage scenario.
Please give it a try and your feedback is most welcome!
Best,

Thanks for your question: it's exactly the issue our customers were facing, and we have delivered the Booking App just for that.
Your users get the list for available rooms based on the time slot they need. Right now your rooms are options in a select list custom fields, but in an upcoming version you'll be able to define your Jira Assets (AQL) as resource pools.
I'm the product manager, feel free to reach out for feedback or assistance.
Talk to you soon,
David
